The Launch of College Football

After a successful launch with The Inside Zone covering exclusively the NFL we are pleased to announce that we will be expanding and will now cover both the NFL and the NCAA. College Football is a high scoring and entertaining form of the football we all love. The NFL is a low scoring affair compared to games in the NCAA where teams regularly put up 40+ points week in week out and stadiums dwarf their NFL comparisons as the NCAA boasts eight stadiums with capacities of 100,000+. The largest is Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, which is home to the Michigan Wolverines and has 107,601 screaming fans packed in round the field.

For those fans who are unfamiliar with college teams…. The NCAA is the sanctioning body and the best teams in the country compete in Division I FBS (Football Bowl Subdivision). These teams are then divided between 11 conferences with the strongest traditionally being the Big Ten Conference, Pac-12 Conference and the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The best teams over the past few years have been Alabama, Clemson, Florida State, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon and Stanford. Other powerhouses include Georgia, Mississippi, Miami and Notre Dame. Every year the best of the best from College football go on to play in the NFL with the best players being selected by teams in the NFL Draft.

The Inside Zone will aim to bring you insightful content no matter your knowledge level of college football. We will aim to add to your knowledge of teams and players and make sure you know exactly who you should be looking out for when the NFL Draft rolls round. We are excited about this launch of the college football platform and hope we can continue to bring you regular and insightful content!
